◆History of Wajima Urushi Ware.
It's about 1000 years ago in primitive life around Wajima,people who knew the mysterious effects of Urushi (natural lacquer) had probably painted on their bowls. Since Muromachi period (about 600 years ago) , Wajima craftsmen have produced furniture kitchen ware and many others for Japanese Civilians.

◆Wajma Urushi Ware
All of the hand-made Wajima Urushi Ware.新品 large quantities of Urushi mixed with "Jinoko" (base powder which is a kind of diatomaceous earth found in Wajima) having 75 to 124 processes to complete.

◆How to keep good shape your Urushi Ware.
For your kitchen ware: dip to warm water,wipe with a wet cotton towel then wipe with a dry soft gauze.
For your others : just wipe with a dry soft gauze.
Put it in a case with water in a cap or place it near by a glass with water.
